Butterflies and Bows

Good morning to you all..  It is a great day in sunny S. Florida.  I love living here.
Today is my day to post for Tuesday Throwdown Cahllenge. Here is the address for the challenge for Tuesday Throwdown.:   Butterflies and Bows is the challenge.  So I have a variety of butterflies here on my card.  The large one is from Martha Stewart punch and the smaller ones are a die cut from Stampin-up.  I love this die cut and use it a great deal.  The image is from DeeDee Anderson and her shop is here:  She has some amazing images and you should really take a moment after your done on my site to pop over and check hers out.
I colored this image with copics and am so pleased as to how it turned out.  I do love flowers and love to color them. (I added the second image the close up so you could see it better.)  I added the butterfly here so it would pop out from the rest.  The sentiment is from the internet and I can't remember who it is by, sorry about that.  I sure hope you will come down and play along with us this week at Tuesday Throwdown and see if you can win some prizes.  All the DT members have a card for your inspiration and this is one of them for you to use as your inspiration.  The ladies on the team are all very talented and unique in their own way, so you will get plenty of different ideas for a card to play along with us.  I really hope to see you crafters there.  Have a wonderful day and I hope you will leave me some love.  I appreciate it and read each and every one.

     Good morning all.
Today I am posting this image by Rick St. Dennis for the anything goes challenge at  "Through the Craft Room Door challenge.  Here: I won this image in a challenge on the Rick St. Dennis Facebook page of Red,White and Blue challenge.  I suggest everyone who likes this type of image to go check out his facebook page and also his etsy store here:  He has wonderful images of all kinds.
I colored my image with copics and mounted her onto a die cut from spellbinders.  I love this die cut and use it often.  The only bling I added were the gems.  I wanted her to be the focal point of the card.  The envelope was made with designer paper that I bought at a garage sale so I have no idea who it is by but it is beautiful paper.  I hope you will all come down to the challenge an play along and visit Ricks store and purchase some of his wonderful stamps.

     Happy Crafting all!!

Humphrey's Acorns

Hello all you wonderful ladies and gents out there in blog land.  It is getting close to fall even though you wouldn't know it here in Florida as it is still very warm.  I just wanted to do some things for fall as I do a flea Market starting the end of this month an I thought I should get some fall cards made.  Little Humphrey here is carrying his Acorn to store for the long winter months.  This is an adorable set from Imagine that by Kris here:  She has several adorable sets for fall and this is just one of them.  I loved the little acorns she added to this I think they make great embellishments to go along with My Humphrey!!  The papers I chose are all fall colors and I love them.  I think I am drawn to the earth tones as I seem to use a lot of these colors.  I am making a couple of sets for cards for the Flea market of the couple of sets that Kris has in her store so I am using the colored version here in this one.  The others I will color myself but I always do one pre colored if I have it,  also the sentiments are with these sets.  I hope you will come and check out the sets of Mr Humphrey for the fall.  Lots of fun images and sentiments.

Blog Hop Nomination

I was nominated to take part in the Creative Blog Hop by my friend Darcy Schroeder.  Darcy is a caring and sweet crafter that I met online about a year or so ago through the website The Outlawz it. She goes above and beyond to be friendly to all that she speaks to.  I had back surgery and she was right there to encourage me when I was down and concerned  about the outcome.  She has been a friend ever since we have a lot in common, including crafting together some day when her hubby retires and moves to Fl.

The Creative Blog Hop happens every Monday and hops from crafter to crafter.

We all answer the same questions and nominate 3 people to hop on to so here goes:

1.   What am I working on?

I am on two design teams at the moment one is Tuesday Throwdown and the second is Imagine that which is a progressive challenge.  I love to do cards and my passion is coloring.  I am taking a coloring class with Kit and Clowder at the moment and I have learned so much and even I can see my improvement in my coloring.

2.  How does my work differ from others of my genre?

I think I have my own style it isn't to fussy or to clean and simple but I do occasionally make one that is.  I like the vintage style as well.  I see others that I think are just beautiful but it isn't in me to do that kind of work.  I love the bling and different techniques out there and love to try them.  I do that a lot and it doesn't always end up on a card. I tend to be drawn to the digi stamps rather then the rubber or acrylic stamps.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I love the creative outlet that I get. I've always loved crafting. I learned to sew when I was 10 and that was the start of my crafting.  I wanted to see what I could make with my knowledge so I have done most all crafts at one time or the other.  I love my Copic markers and I am finding that they are indeed additive I want them all!! I probably spend every day or at least part of every day crafting something.  I am retired and no kids close so I can color or do what ever at any time I please.  And I do love to color.

4. How does my creation process work?

My creative process?  Well I find the image I want to color or go to some that are already colored and then decide what I want to do with the card.  If it is already colored then I will go to the papers and pick what I think looks good with what I have.  A lot of people do the papers first but that isn't me.  I have a great deal of paper so I normally pick my colors from what I have colored.  I also use a lot of digi papers as well so I never run out.   The image seems to "talk  " to me if you will as to what it wants to be colored like.  Then I lay it all out on my table and decide what I want to do with the background and also the embellishments too.  If I want flowers then I will lay those out on the card before I glue anything down to see how they look. Once I get it all laid out then I start to assemble it.

For me this works.

Now its time to nominate 3 people for the Blog Hop.

I have to nominate 3 people with blogs.

Its been so difficult to choose as I know so many

wonderful crafters.

So here is my choice of three crafters:-

NanaConnie and I started talking to each other on the Outlawz and she is the one that ask me to be a Design Team member for Tuesday Throwdown.  I can't say that I know a lot about her but I do know she is a great lady and very encouraging as well.  She is a very talented lady as well and I love to go to her blog and see what she has to offer to the crafters.

2. Berni Cuttino

I met Berni on the Outlawz as well.  I did spend a lot of time on that site when I first started to do the challenges so that is where I met most of the people that I consider friends on here.  Berni is a great lady she loves to craft as much as we all do.  She has some great creative crafting skills. She is also on the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge A team.

Jackie Cornfield
I met Jackie on facebook and have watched her work there for a while.  She is a wonderful crafter and a very friendly lady.  She will answer any question you have and if she doesn't know she will find out for you.  I enjoy talking to Jackie and watching her crafts as she posts them.  Check out her blog and you will see some great cards.  She is very talented.
I really don't know why all the type on here is different sizes so please excuse that.  Good ole blogger could be at it again. I have tried several times to change it all but it still stays as it is so I will just leave it.
I sure hope you will go check out these ladies blogs and become a member and follow along with some really great talent.

Well now you have read my words you can go and enjoy our Blog Hop

with three wonderful crafters...

Sweet lady in the window

Hi all today I am posting this sweet image by Lacy Sunshine .   I colored her with copics.  The background paper was a index card that my hubby bought and found out that it didn't have lines, so I got the papers and they are bright colors.  I put it through the cuddlebug and love the way it looks.  I added buttons as that is what the image is.  I had a spot on the top where I touched the ink on a glitter pen and it smeared but I put the pretty blue button there to cover it.  I love Heathers images they are all wonderful.  I hope you will all go check out her challenge and join in the fun.  She also has a facebook page you can join and get in on even more fun.  So till next time I hope you all have a great crafting day!!

Sweet Little One

Good Tuesday Morning to you all.  Tuesday means The challenge at "Tuesday Throwdown"  So for today for my DT card for Tuesday Throwdown is this Sweet little one from Robyns Fetish.  This little one was a joy to color.  Why not stop down at Robyn's Fetish here: and see what wonderful stamps she has to offer.
I colored this little girl with Copics and mounted her on a piece of digital paper.  The border punches are new from Martha Stewart.  The flowers are Petaloo and the roses are some I found at a garage sale.  I cut the stems off so I could use them on here.   The leaves are a stampin-up die that I have and I use it a lot.  It is all mounted on a piece of dark pink card stock and glitter added to the flowers and the image for bling.  I hope you will come down to Tuesday Throwdown and join the fun in this Sweet little Ones Challenge here is the address: so no excuses not to come play. We have some great prizes so come visit up.  Happy Crafting.

Good afternoon all you crafters.  Today well ok I have posted already today but for my next act.  LOL  I won this beautiful image from Rick St. Dennis in a challenge on his facebook page Here : at the Red, White and Blue challenge.  I love the way she turned out.  I have had her colored for a while but finally got around to making a card.  I am very pleased how she turned out.  She was colored with copics and mounted on designer paper from Reflections and the die cut is a spellbinders die.  I wanted to keep it pretty simple so only added the few gems for bling.  I am going to enter this into the anything goes challenge at Sparkle and Glitter Challenge for this month here:  I love Rick's images they are very unique and so pretty.  I hope you will come down and play along with us.  Happy Crafting to you all.
I would also like to enter this into the challenge anything goes at The Purple Haze here:  So come on down and see what they have to offer for this challenge.  Happy Crafting to you all.

Humphrey's Apples

Good morning to you all.
This morning I am posting as a new Design Team member  for Imagine That by Kris.  I was so excited to be asked to join her team.  She has fantastic images and she sells them in sets.  I would encourage everyone to go check them out here is the web address for the site:  This month Kris is calling the challenge "JUMP BACK IN CHALLENGE".  We do a progressive challenge each month and for this month only you can use any Imagine That image that you have,  you don't have to have the ones we use for this months challenge.  But you want to go check it out anyway and buy this one.  Humphrey is a sweet little squirrel.  She has several sets with Humphrey and you get colored images and line drawings and some sentiments,  How cool is that?  I love her images they are just so much fun to color and are adorable.  I do occasionally use the colored image if I am in a hurry and need a card with that theme quickly but most of the time I color all my images.  You see I am addicted to coloring.  I do hope you will come and play along with us this month.  Remember you can use any image you want from Imagine That. If you don't have an image then head on over to the store and buy one or more you won't be sorry.  Hope to see you all there!!  Happy Crafting all!!!

My Newspaper girl

Hey everyone.  My image today is a sweet image from Lacy Sunshine.  She is just a pretty little girl and reminds me of my granddaughter with her hair over her eye.  I colored her with my copics and put this window around her that is a negative cut out from another image just like this one only in different colors.  I inked the top cut out with Navy blue but it sure doesn't look like Navy blue to me.  The two flourishes are some I got at ACMoore in the dollar bin.  I am going to enter this into the challenge at Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog this week with the theme of"Include a window".  You can find that challenge here:  Why not stop by and play along.  She has some fantastic images in her store as well so you can check her out after you check out the Challenge.  So happy crafting to you all and hope you all come play along.

The Goddess of Moonligh on Evening Fog

Hello all you wonderful peeps.  Today I am posting this wonderful image by Rick St. Dennis.  You can see all his wonderful talent here:   I colored her with my copics and have decided I still need more colors.  Yes they are addicting for sure.  Any way the image is cut out on a die cut from spellbinders and mounted on a bright yellow card.  I thought it needed a bit more so I added the bow (made it with a bow maker my hubby made for me)  It works great too.  Then I added the 3 flower gems as well.  I would like to enter this image into the anything goes challenge at Through The Craft Room Door.  Here:  Come on down and play along it is fun and they have some great prizes.  Happy Crafting all.

Aloha from Hawaii

Well welcome to my little corner of the world.  I have been pretty busy in my craft room lately.  This is one of the cards that I have done.  It is called Aloha girl.  I do believe she is so beautiful.  I would love to go to Hawaii someday but not sure if that will ever happen. But it is on my bucket list anyway.

This beauty is from Imagine That by Kris.  Here is her site address:  I sure hope you will pop over and check out her images they are just so adorable.  She does hers in sets.  You get line drawings and colored images and sentiments with all.  Some sets she even includes digi papers to use.  How cool is that.  I love digi papers cause I don't have to store them anywhere but on here.  My craft room is so full and not a lot of room for storage so digi papers are great.  Plus you never run out of the ones you love.  I colored her with my copics and cut the background doily with my new Martha Stewart punch.  I inked the edges to give it some definition and added the bling that I bought at the scrapbook expo this year.  The sentiments are some of the ones you get with the set.  I sure hope you like my pretty little Hula girl.  If you do please leave me some love to let me know you were here and if your not a follower I hope you will become one and leave me your addy and I will come follow you as well.
     Happy Crafting to you all.

New DT Call and Challenge Blog

Good evening /morning to you all.  It is evening here but who knows what time it is where your at reading this.  I just wanted to promote this new challenge blog for Karleigh Sue Here: .  I am going to go for the Dt position on here and see if I can make it.  If not then I will try another time.  I think her images are adorable and I did color one that she gave as a free digi on her face book page.  And this is the address for her esty store:  I hope you will all go check out her store and purchase some of the adorable digi's she is offering.  She has been adding to the store a lot and I am sure will be adding more as she goes.  She is a new Artist for me and I am not sure how long she has been doing this but I can see she is very talented.  So won't you all go see what she has?
I am not sure how to add her banner here but I have added the link for the challenge and here is the image I colored as the digi.

This was colored with copics and mounted on to dp that I got at a garage sale the flower was cut with my cameo and the flourishes are some pieces left over from other cuts on my cameo.  I waste nothing.  LOL  So please come play along at the Challenge it starts soon.

Happy Crafting all.

Butterfly Thank you

Hey everyone I sure hope your having a great day.  It is a beautiful sunny day in South Florida, and a very hot one as well.  Thank goodness for AC or I would be looking for a pool somewhere.
On to my card,  it is a simple black and white card I made for a class that I did.  I used a sketch I found on pinterest as a guide.  It is all white paper and I stamped the thank you before I embossed it with the dotted swiss embossing folder.  The bottom of the small piece I embossed with a border embossing folder of dotted swiss.  I added the ribbon to add some interest to it.  The stamps are both from Stampin-up given to me by a great friend. Simple but elegant card.  I am very pleased on how it turned out.  I hope you like it as well.  Happy Crafting all.

A Note Card

Good morning to all you crafters.  Today is a day for my "Note" card.  This is one I will be doing with my class for the week of Aug 21 st.  It is pretty simple and easy to do.  I like it but to be honest I think it is a bit dull looking.  Maybe different papers would have helped but it looked ok when I did it.  Have you ever had that happen to you, make a card and like it when you make it then look at it the next day an say what was I thinking?  Well it has finally happened to me.  LOL  I like the design and will try it in different colors someday.  Who knows maybe I will like it then.  Well I can be off a day once in a while too I guess.  Well there it is in a nut shell folks we all make mistakes now an then and I am not afraid to admit it.  Have a great day!!

My pretty Ladybug

Good morning to you all!!  I am posting this adorable ladybug for all today.  I love these little bugs (hence my blog name!  LOL)  But really I do like them.  This is one from a set that I had from Imagine That by Kris.  I just think they are the cutest bugs around.  The paper behind the bug is a digital paper that I printed an had not used yet.  The sentiment is from the set as when you buy the images from Imagine That you get the sentiments too and that is really helpful for me as I don't have a lot of regular stamps ( they take up a lot of room in my small craft area so I only have a few)  I used bakers twine on the card as well as two new embellishments that I got at the expo.  If your like me or even if your not and like my little ladybug here is the address for Imagine That so you can go buy this set.  I do hope you will go check out the store.  Kris also has a progressive challenge each month.  If you buy the stamp that is the challenge stamp and use it for the challenge you get the next month free and will continue to get the month free as long as you play and use the stamp that you get free.  It is a wonderful way to get new digi stamps and Kris is very talented and has wonderful digi's to work with.  There are times when she includes digi papers as well and has just some digi papers to buy.  I like to get digi papers cause I can always print what I need.  I hope to see some of you over at the Challenge at Imagine that.  Happy Crafting to you all.
