Beautiful Music

Well good morning to you all.  I am very excited today to announce that I have been chosen to be on a new design team.  The name of it is Just Inspirational Challenges.  I will be on the B team and am so excite to be able to show you my first card for them.  She is "Music Girl" and she can be found here:,   Our theme this month is "MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND PAPER"   I chose to do the music notes on mine that I found of the net.  The one brad I used looked a bit like a note so I put that on as well.  My image was colored with copics.  I cut her out using a spell binder oval die cut.  I inked it and then took it out of the die.  I added the yellow ribbon (bought at a garage sale) and the 3 black gems.  I hope you like my little girl.  Be sure to come down to Just Inspirational Challenges here: and play along with us this month..  I really is pretty easy to make your own background paper, hey if I can do it so can you.  Come on give it a try!!  Happy Crafting to you all.

Merry Cupcake Christmas

Hi everyone.  I am getting started on my Christmas cards and wanted to post one for you all to see.  It is a bit different but a fun one.  My image is from Imagine That by Kris and you can get this set here:  I love this image it is so much fun.  I did one in red and one in blues.  I will post that at another time.  My image is colored with copics and I mounted it on dark green and the base is dark green as well however it looks black in the photo.  I used a viva pen for my snow and love how it turned out.  I love Kris's sets as she gives the sentiments a couple of different ones with each set of digi's.  This is the uncolored one but you get a colored version as well.  The inside just has Merry Christmas on it and that is part of the set as well.  Why not hop over to Imagine That and pic up a set or two you sure won't be sorry.  She also has a progressive challenge each month and this is "Jump back in" month and you can use any image that you have from her to get back into the challenges.  Then next month you will get the new image free to play along.  You only have 4 days left of this months challenge so hurry over and get yourself an image or check the Imagine that facebook page for a freebie to use.  Hope to see you all next month in the challenge.  So enough for now have a great day and Happy Crafting.

Opposites Attract

Hey everyone..  How is everyone today?  My sweet little image here is from Lacy Sunshine.  Our challenge from Tuesday Throwdown this week is Opposites Attract so to take the color wheel and go opposite sides and choose a color.  I choose the RED/GREEN opposites.  I like this image as I had the green apples and one red one.  My background paper is a piece that I got from a friend.  The base card is red and the green ribbon is some I bought at Joanne's.  I cut the image with a spellbinders die cut.  I colored this sweet image with my copics.  The two flourishes are cut from my cricut.  I hope you will make a card and come on down to the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown here: and play along.  You will get lots of inspiration on the site as to what you can do to make a card.  A color wheel is available on line if you need to look at one.  Hope to see you all there!!  Happy Crafting.

I would also like to enter this into Lacy Sunshine "Change of Season" challenge this week.

Lucky Turkey

Hey everyone.  Today is a Lucky Turkey day....  Now where can you find a turkey that is smiling?  Well if you go over to Imagine That by Kris here: you will find this smiling turkey.  What a cutie he is.  I am not sure he will be so lucky come Thanksgiving but he sure is cute.  I colored him up with copics and he is on a sheet of designer paper that I bought at a garage sale. The ribbon is from a blog hop that I won and the gems and stars are from the expo this year.  The Sentiment is from one of the sets from Imagine That. I punched the corner with a fiskars punch and it is one of my favorite corner punches.  I hope you will go check out Imagine That by Kris as she has some fun and wonderful digi's.

I hope you will all leave me some love and will become a follower.  Hint when I reach 200 I am going to offer some blog candy.  Go tell all your friends as I am starting to collect crafting things now and your the first to know.  Happy Crafting all....

Sweet Puppy

Hi all you sweet peeps.  Today or I guess I should say tonite I am posting a card I did for Imagine That by Kris.  This is a freebie that she gave out and you can get it on Facebook I believe.  You can also use this to enter into our monthly progressive challenges.  This month is it "Jump back in month" and that means you can use any image that you have from Imagine that or any freebie as well.  I think this is a really cute dog, I don't feel that I am that good with animals but I am practicing and this is one of them.  LOL  Anyway I colored him or her which ever you want with copics and just added the stitching around all of it.  The background paper is some I bought at a garage sale a while ago.  It had a skunk on the end so that had to come off.  It is just a very plain an simple card which for me is rare.  Hope you like it and please come on down to Imagine that and play along.  The address is here: so come visit you will get lots of inspiration from the design team.  Happy crafting all!!!!!

Sunflower Humphery

Good morning to you all.  My post today is a digi that is by Kris at Imagine That.  You can find the newest sets on her site at:  She has at least 3or 4 new sets this month.  Her daughter named this cute squirrel.  I think he is just adorable.  I colored him with copics and mounted him on some designer paper that I bought at a garage sale.  The banner is one that comes with one of the sets.    I am not sure if it is this one or not but it is from one of the 4 that she has.  The butterflies and the leaves are a stampin-up dit cut that I use a great deal.  What is great about Kris's sets is she always puts in sentiment with her digi's.  You get color sets and line drawings for you to color as you wish, plus the sentiments and sometimes she even includes papers for you to use.  She has beautiful digital papers too.  That will be what I get next, I love digi papers cause you can print them any time you need them.  Well I hope you like my sweet squirrel,  I know I do.  And I have the perfect person to send it to.  Happy Crafting all!!

Butterflies and Bows

Good morning to you all..  It is a great day in sunny S. Florida.  I love living here.
Today is my day to post for Tuesday Throwdown Cahllenge. Here is the address for the challenge for Tuesday Throwdown.:   Butterflies and Bows is the challenge.  So I have a variety of butterflies here on my card.  The large one is from Martha Stewart punch and the smaller ones are a die cut from Stampin-up.  I love this die cut and use it a great deal.  The image is from DeeDee Anderson and her shop is here:  She has some amazing images and you should really take a moment after your done on my site to pop over and check hers out.
I colored this image with copics and am so pleased as to how it turned out.  I do love flowers and love to color them. (I added the second image the close up so you could see it better.)  I added the butterfly here so it would pop out from the rest.  The sentiment is from the internet and I can't remember who it is by, sorry about that.  I sure hope you will come down and play along with us this week at Tuesday Throwdown and see if you can win some prizes.  All the DT members have a card for your inspiration and this is one of them for you to use as your inspiration.  The ladies on the team are all very talented and unique in their own way, so you will get plenty of different ideas for a card to play along with us.  I really hope to see you crafters there.  Have a wonderful day and I hope you will leave me some love.  I appreciate it and read each and every one.

     Good morning all.
Today I am posting this image by Rick St. Dennis for the anything goes challenge at  "Through the Craft Room Door challenge.  Here: I won this image in a challenge on the Rick St. Dennis Facebook page of Red,White and Blue challenge.  I suggest everyone who likes this type of image to go check out his facebook page and also his etsy store here:  He has wonderful images of all kinds.
I colored my image with copics and mounted her onto a die cut from spellbinders.  I love this die cut and use it often.  The only bling I added were the gems.  I wanted her to be the focal point of the card.  The envelope was made with designer paper that I bought at a garage sale so I have no idea who it is by but it is beautiful paper.  I hope you will all come down to the challenge an play along and visit Ricks store and purchase some of his wonderful stamps.

     Happy Crafting all!!

Humphrey's Acorns

Hello all you wonderful ladies and gents out there in blog land.  It is getting close to fall even though you wouldn't know it here in Florida as it is still very warm.  I just wanted to do some things for fall as I do a flea Market starting the end of this month an I thought I should get some fall cards made.  Little Humphrey here is carrying his Acorn to store for the long winter months.  This is an adorable set from Imagine that by Kris here:  She has several adorable sets for fall and this is just one of them.  I loved the little acorns she added to this I think they make great embellishments to go along with My Humphrey!!  The papers I chose are all fall colors and I love them.  I think I am drawn to the earth tones as I seem to use a lot of these colors.  I am making a couple of sets for cards for the Flea market of the couple of sets that Kris has in her store so I am using the colored version here in this one.  The others I will color myself but I always do one pre colored if I have it,  also the sentiments are with these sets.  I hope you will come and check out the sets of Mr Humphrey for the fall.  Lots of fun images and sentiments.

Blog Hop Nomination

I was nominated to take part in the Creative Blog Hop by my friend Darcy Schroeder.  Darcy is a caring and sweet crafter that I met online about a year or so ago through the website The Outlawz it. She goes above and beyond to be friendly to all that she speaks to.  I had back surgery and she was right there to encourage me when I was down and concerned  about the outcome.  She has been a friend ever since we have a lot in common, including crafting together some day when her hubby retires and moves to Fl.

The Creative Blog Hop happens every Monday and hops from crafter to crafter.

We all answer the same questions and nominate 3 people to hop on to so here goes:

1.   What am I working on?

I am on two design teams at the moment one is Tuesday Throwdown and the second is Imagine that which is a progressive challenge.  I love to do cards and my passion is coloring.  I am taking a coloring class with Kit and Clowder at the moment and I have learned so much and even I can see my improvement in my coloring.

2.  How does my work differ from others of my genre?

I think I have my own style it isn't to fussy or to clean and simple but I do occasionally make one that is.  I like the vintage style as well.  I see others that I think are just beautiful but it isn't in me to do that kind of work.  I love the bling and different techniques out there and love to try them.  I do that a lot and it doesn't always end up on a card. I tend to be drawn to the digi stamps rather then the rubber or acrylic stamps.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I love the creative outlet that I get. I've always loved crafting. I learned to sew when I was 10 and that was the start of my crafting.  I wanted to see what I could make with my knowledge so I have done most all crafts at one time or the other.  I love my Copic markers and I am finding that they are indeed additive I want them all!! I probably spend every day or at least part of every day crafting something.  I am retired and no kids close so I can color or do what ever at any time I please.  And I do love to color.

4. How does my creation process work?

My creative process?  Well I find the image I want to color or go to some that are already colored and then decide what I want to do with the card.  If it is already colored then I will go to the papers and pick what I think looks good with what I have.  A lot of people do the papers first but that isn't me.  I have a great deal of paper so I normally pick my colors from what I have colored.  I also use a lot of digi papers as well so I never run out.   The image seems to "talk  " to me if you will as to what it wants to be colored like.  Then I lay it all out on my table and decide what I want to do with the background and also the embellishments too.  If I want flowers then I will lay those out on the card before I glue anything down to see how they look. Once I get it all laid out then I start to assemble it.

For me this works.

Now its time to nominate 3 people for the Blog Hop.

I have to nominate 3 people with blogs.

Its been so difficult to choose as I know so many

wonderful crafters.

So here is my choice of three crafters:-

NanaConnie and I started talking to each other on the Outlawz and she is the one that ask me to be a Design Team member for Tuesday Throwdown.  I can't say that I know a lot about her but I do know she is a great lady and very encouraging as well.  She is a very talented lady as well and I love to go to her blog and see what she has to offer to the crafters.

2. Berni Cuttino

I met Berni on the Outlawz as well.  I did spend a lot of time on that site when I first started to do the challenges so that is where I met most of the people that I consider friends on here.  Berni is a great lady she loves to craft as much as we all do.  She has some great creative crafting skills. She is also on the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge A team.

Jackie Cornfield
I met Jackie on facebook and have watched her work there for a while.  She is a wonderful crafter and a very friendly lady.  She will answer any question you have and if she doesn't know she will find out for you.  I enjoy talking to Jackie and watching her crafts as she posts them.  Check out her blog and you will see some great cards.  She is very talented.
I really don't know why all the type on here is different sizes so please excuse that.  Good ole blogger could be at it again. I have tried several times to change it all but it still stays as it is so I will just leave it.
I sure hope you will go check out these ladies blogs and become a member and follow along with some really great talent.

Well now you have read my words you can go and enjoy our Blog Hop

with three wonderful crafters...

Sweet lady in the window

Hi all today I am posting this sweet image by Lacy Sunshine .   I colored her with copics.  The background paper was a index card that my hubby bought and found out that it didn't have lines, so I got the papers and they are bright colors.  I put it through the cuddlebug and love the way it looks.  I added buttons as that is what the image is.  I had a spot on the top where I touched the ink on a glitter pen and it smeared but I put the pretty blue button there to cover it.  I love Heathers images they are all wonderful.  I hope you will all go check out her challenge and join in the fun.  She also has a facebook page you can join and get in on even more fun.  So till next time I hope you all have a great crafting day!!

Sweet Little One

Good Tuesday Morning to you all.  Tuesday means The challenge at "Tuesday Throwdown"  So for today for my DT card for Tuesday Throwdown is this Sweet little one from Robyns Fetish.  This little one was a joy to color.  Why not stop down at Robyn's Fetish here: and see what wonderful stamps she has to offer.
I colored this little girl with Copics and mounted her on a piece of digital paper.  The border punches are new from Martha Stewart.  The flowers are Petaloo and the roses are some I found at a garage sale.  I cut the stems off so I could use them on here.   The leaves are a stampin-up die that I have and I use it a lot.  It is all mounted on a piece of dark pink card stock and glitter added to the flowers and the image for bling.  I hope you will come down to Tuesday Throwdown and join the fun in this Sweet little Ones Challenge here is the address: so no excuses not to come play. We have some great prizes so come visit up.  Happy Crafting.

Good afternoon all you crafters.  Today well ok I have posted already today but for my next act.  LOL  I won this beautiful image from Rick St. Dennis in a challenge on his facebook page Here : at the Red, White and Blue challenge.  I love the way she turned out.  I have had her colored for a while but finally got around to making a card.  I am very pleased how she turned out.  She was colored with copics and mounted on designer paper from Reflections and the die cut is a spellbinders die.  I wanted to keep it pretty simple so only added the few gems for bling.  I am going to enter this into the anything goes challenge at Sparkle and Glitter Challenge for this month here:  I love Rick's images they are very unique and so pretty.  I hope you will come down and play along with us.  Happy Crafting to you all.

Humphrey's Apples

My Newspaper girl

Hey everyone.  My image today is a sweet image from Lacy Sunshine.  She is just a pretty little girl and reminds me of my granddaughter with her hair over her eye.  I colored her with my copics and put this window around her that is a negative cut out from another image just like this one only in different colors.  I inked the top cut out with Navy blue but it sure doesn't look like Navy blue to me.  The two flourishes are some I got at ACMoore in the dollar bin.  I am going to enter this into the challenge at Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog this week with the theme of"Include a window".  You can find that challenge here:  Why not stop by and play along.  She has some fantastic images in her store as well so you can check her out after you check out the Challenge.  So happy crafting to you all and hope you all come play along.
